Golbahar City Center (phase 2) Urban Design Project 2011-2012

The new urban design project for the City Center of Phase 2 Development of the City of Golbahar was another part of extension in the strong Spinal Corridor of this New Town. The project area was 350 h., and formed a mixed used zone in the City Center. Large parcels for cultural, educational, medical, hoteling activities as well as a city scale park of 50 h. -in each side of the Site- creating polar attraction points, and embracing the mixed-use commercial, recreational, offices, educational,...uses located in the central area. Meanwhile a variety of medium to high density residential area with 35000 population forming with the other uses the best Functional/Locational format for creating a lively and attracting City Center. The Linear Parks with 60 m. width were an important Structural Channel for pedestrians, cyclists, gatherings and many other activities, equipped with different kinds of recreations, foods, small shoppings, sport courts, and other amenities for the residents, as well as employees and visitors.
